I read an interesting post on The Obsessive Shopper about Western Family’s website. Many of you have probably seen the Western Family brand of products in your local stores. If so, you should check this website out, because I guess they often give away free product coupons on their website if you watch their videos. And although they don’t have any coupons available right at the moment, I thought it was worth still worth sharing, because of a video contest that they are holding. The rules say that every person who submits a video will receive a $50 Western Family gift card, just for entering!

Now, these gift cards appear to only be redeemable at select stores, but they have an extensive list of participating stores on their website, with retailers listed in Oregon, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming. I know I have a lot of readers in these states, so it’s definitely worth checking out. The videos can be anywhere from a few seconds long to three minutes, so it’s very easy to make a submission – certainly worthwhile for a $50 gift card, and who knows, maybe you’ll even win the grand prize of $1,000! You may have noticed that it’s been a little quiet on the blog front today. That’s because I’m throwing a huge party tomorrow, so I’ve been running around like crazy preparing for it. Halloween is a huge deal for me, and I throw an elaborate shindig every year. So it’ll stay quiet around here for the next day or so, but when I return I’ll show you how I threw a big bash on my coupon budget. Happy Halloween!

1. This time last year, I had never used coupons and had no idea what was possible with them.
2. Groceries used to be one of my biggest annoyances. I would look for the best sales and lowest prices, and would still spend a fortune.
3. I discovered the joy of coupons in February of this year. I randomly stumbled upon Hot Coupon World one day, and it changed my life!
4. My coupon binder never leaves my purse.
5. I have way too much fun in the grocery store.
6. My most memorable shopping trip was when I used coupons to pay for an espresso maker.
7. My boyfriend Jai has built custom cabinets for me, specifically designed to hold the stockpile!

I also got a virus from Lousie over at Momstart– but don’t worry, it’s not a bad thing!
