Coupon Winners – Please Read!

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

I have some winners to announce in my coupon giveaways!

The winner of the envelope of baby coupons is…

Comment number 1, The Schmidts, who said: “My son loves the Gerber graduates snacks, which can get very pricey very fast! Our family could definitely make good use of baby food/snacks coupons. Thanks!” There was no email address left with this comment, so please email me to claim your prize!

I had two responses to my expired coupon giveaway – and since this is such a special need, I am counting the comments that were left both here and here. I have more than enough for two envelopes, so I’d be happy to send some to both entrants. The first comment was from Felicia, who I have already emailed, and the second was from desfranklin, who didn’t leave an email address – desfranklin, if you’re reading this, please email me with your address! I’d love to send you my expireds!

I have a few more fun giveaways coming up this month, so stay tuned!

Free Herbal Essences Coupon

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

Here’s another free coupon offer for Facebook users! Starting today, October 2nd, through Tuesday, October 6th, Herbal Essences will be giving away free product coupons to the first 12,500 users to register. To qualify, you will need to click here to become a fan of their page on Facebook and also click here to RSVP for the event. The giveaway will start at 2 PM EST/11 AM PST daily – the link to sign up for the coupon will be posted on their Facebook page each day. A total of 50,000 coupons will be given out, so if you miss it today, check back tomorrow!

Thanks to Money Saving Mom for the tip – and happy belated birthday!

ETA: There have been some technical difficulties with this offer – here is an update from their Facebook page: “We apologize for the technical issues that have gotten in the way of the Herbal Essences Gorgeous Giveaway. While we’ve worked through the weekend, there are several issues taking longer than expected to resolve. We want this to be a good experience for everyone so we’re building in some of feedback we received. As a result, the event will now run 10/8 (11:30pm EST) through 10/12 (11:30pm EST). And because you’ve stuck with us, we’ve increased the number of coupons we’re giving away to 75,000 total (18,750 per day). Thanks again for your patience and understanding!”

Shopping Trip – September 26th

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

I made a quick trip to Rite Aid last Saturday because I wanted to pick up a few things for a gift bag, which I was putting together for someone’s birthday. (Lots of September birthdays around here!) While I was there, I found another shampoo with a “Try-Me-Free” hangtag:

The total for this was $7.99, and since the full price will be refunded, it will only cost me the price of a stamp to mail the rebate. Click here to check out the receipt.
Since I’m always in need of special hair products, this is a good deal for me – for someone with a huge stockpile of Suave, it might not be worth it. (I still have a big stockpile of L’Oreal shampoo and conditioner, but I like to switch up the products that I use each time I wash my hair!) A good deal is all relative to what your needs are.

You’ll also notice that there are $8.16 worth of other purchases on my receipt – those were some fun lotions and body washes that I bought for the gift bag. There was no special deal there, so I didn’t bother taking a picture of them. However, all my Rite Aid purchases through October 17th qualify for the “Gift of Savings” program, and so far I have already earned a $5 rebate.
