$50 Safeway Gift Card Giveaway

As you may recall, I often work with MyBlogSpark on fun giveaways, both here and on Contest Corner. Recently, they contacted me about a sale that Fiber One yogurt is having at Safeway, and asked if I would like to receive a $50 Safeway gift card to check it out with. They also offered to give another $50 gift card away to one of you – so how could I turn that down?!

Through tomorrow, January 9th, you can purchase two 4-packs of Fiber One yogurt at Safeway for $4.00. You may remember that I hosted a special Fiber One yogurt giveaway back in October – you can click here to read what I thought about the yogurt and also download a printable coupon for $1.00 off, which you can use in conjunction with the sale to further lower your cost. MyBlogSpark also sent me a coupon for a free package of Fiber One yogurt to use the next time I go to Safeway, so I’ll show you what kind of deals I get with my gift card then.

    The healthy part is hard. I guess drinking water instead of pop is good. I'm awesome at saving money. I have started buying bananas that are starting to turn. They are cheaper and we use them either right away in smoothies or freeze them for our breads.

    For breakfast, I eat live culture yogurt for intestinal health.

    After dinner I consume red wine for cardiovascular health.

    Between the two, I exercise.

    To be healthy and frugal I try to cook most of our meals at home. I buy fresh produce and meats that are on sale, and I use coupons for staple items. honeypie411 at yahoo dot com

    I cook recipes with beans and rice, and have used coupons and bargain rack items since I was in college. I never order soft drinks if I eat out — just water in a glass.

    Well if u want to try to be frugal maybe try buying your fresh meats at the supermarkets at reduced costs. Sometime they will reduce meat the next day if they couldnt sell it the day before so look for these type sales and specials. Our walmart does this but you have to be there a certain day to get in on it.

    I make sure to keep pretzels on hand because I always crave something salty in the afternoon. I also use coupons all the time and match them with sales to help the grocery budget.

    I shop the off prices stores like Grocery Outlet then head to Safeway for their awesome produce and meat sections. One tip- Check the meat markdowns! I have found meat more than half off.
